3 Sleepers
Kevin Smith- Kevin Smith isn’t on the best team in the NFL, in fact, he’s on the worst. But he showed flashes of greatness in the second half of the season. Overall, Kevin Smith had 976 rushing yards and 8 touchdowns. But in the second half of the season, he had 708 yards and 5 scores. Smith will be even more productive if Matthew Stafford performs well because he won’t see as many 8 man fronts and will have way more room to run. I predict 1,008 yards and 9 touchdowns.
Pierre Thomas- We caught a glimpse of what Thomas will be like in week 17 when he racked up over 100 yards both rushing and receiving. But after a week 9 bye, Thomas had 99 carries for 501 yards (5.1 yards per carry.) This shows that Thomas has the skill to be a fantasy starter. I predict he will rush for 1,081 yards and 8 touchdowns. The one problem with Pierre Thomas is that Reggie Bush also has a chance to be a fantasy starter and he can take lots of carries away from Thomas. I have Thomas as number 37 on my Top 200 and he should be taken in the 4th or 5th round.
Donald Brown- Donald Brown is a rookie out of U-CONN and is the player from U-CONN to be ever taken in the first round of the NFL draft. The Colts took a chance on him and he definitely has the work ethic to become an elite running back in the NFL. If you think that Brown might not see a sufficient amount of playing time, then you’re wrong. Brown has better speed then Addai and is way more durable. Addai is probably a little better at short yardage but not by a lot. He should get a lot more carries since the Colts passing attack isn’t what it used to be. He is number 90 in my Top 200 and should be picked in the 9th or 10th round. I predict that he will have 807 rushing yards and 5 touchdowns.
